Dear Parents,

We are pleased to inform you that the new swimming pool building work is going to begin on Monday 10^th October 2005. The work will last until March 2006. Would parents please not bring cars into Ferndale Avenue and no parents cars should enter the school grounds at all. Please ensure that your children and yourself are alert to the fact that contractors will be on site near the Ferndale Avenue entrance. Contractors will not be using the entrance at the start or end of the school day but please be aware of the possible dangers.

The Sponsored walk went very well! Thank you for your support. Could you please ensure that any monies be clearly labelled “Sponsored Walk” and given to the class teacher.

Could we remind all parents that children need to be on time for the start of each school day and that Junior children go directly to the Junior playground. Also parents need to be on time to collect their children at the end of the school day. It is important that each child knows who is coming to collect them each day.

A number of parents haven’t returned updated contact sheets, A/B forms and maths games forms. These are now very overdue, please return them to school on Monday 10^th October 2005. School Fund contributions should be paid directly to the office, cheques should be made payable to Ferndale Primary School.

If your child wishes to change from sandwiches to dinners or dinners to sandwiches please inform the office direct no later than the Friday prior to the week you wish your child to change.

Parents evening appointments vary between year groups. Please return the appointment request sheets as soon as possible so that teachers are able to organise appointments. See attached letter.

Foundation and Key Stage One would like to invite parents to their Harvest/Healthy eating assembly to be held in the upper hall on Wednesday 19^th October at 9.00 A.M.
