8th September 2005

Dear Parents,

We hope that you had a pleasant holiday. We are pleased to be back at school for a new term.

As with every year the children will be taking part in many activities that take place away from the school, we therefore require you to complete the off-site permission form that is attached, for each of your children in mainstream school. In addition to this we will be requiring you to complete the home school agreement and updated contact form. We will be sending these home next week please ensure you complete the forms in full and return them to school as soon as possible and no later than Thursday 22nd September 2005. We are pre-warning you in order that you can organise emergency contact  numbers.

We wish to remind you that we will be closed to all children on Friday 23rd September and Monday 26th September for Teacher Training Days.

It is important that all children arrive on time. If for any reason you arrive after the bell then all children must be signed in on the late board in the office. If you deliver your child to the top building, be it Nursery or main school, please ensure that you hand over your child to the class teacher and then go to the office to sign the late board so that we know who is in school in the event of a fire or other emergency.

At the end of the day, please ensure you collect your child on time. If for any reason you are going to be late, please contact the office well before 3-20p.m. in order that the message can be passed on to the class teacher before the end of the school day.

We wish to remind you not to bring your cars onto the school grounds and recommend that you park in Appleton Avenue or Gorse Farm Road. The reason for this is that Eastwood Road and Ferndale Avenue are too narrow and cars would hamper emergency vehicles near the school gates.

Can we also remind you that dogs are not allowed on site.

Thank you for your continued help and support.

Yours sincerely,

Mr N.J.Edge
