Foundation Years Nursery and Reception.
The Nursery is accommodated in a large, well resource area of the school. 72 children attend on a part-time basis with 30 attending morning sessions and 39 attending afternoon sessions, with an adult child ratio of 1 to 13. The Reception unit consists of three registration groups. By the time the children enter the main school at the age of four, they are familiar with the school and it’s staff and settle in very quickly.

Key Stage One
Key Stage one has four classes (two for Year One children and two for Year Two children). In Key Stage One the children are given the widest possible range of experiences to stimulate the process of learning and considerable emphasis is placed upon the basic skills.
Key Stage Two
The Junior Department has six classes ( two Year Three, two Year Four, two Year Five and two Year Six ).
At Key Stage Two we aim to build upon the foundations established at Key Stage One. By the age of 11 we aim to ensure that the children are equipped for success in the future. The children’s confidence will be based on their
ability to read well and to have good understanding of the English Language, have an excellent foundation in Mathematics, Science, I.T.C. and have a good understanding of all the other subjects offered to them.
The children will progress from Year Three to Year Six before transferring to a local secondary school (Key Stage Three).
